Winnipeg has various sports teams such as The Winnipeg Jets, The blue bombers and now the Winnipeg Drones? Well, not a sports team but Winnipeg is testing drones for fire responders. First responders in Winnipeg will be able to use drones with thermal imaging cameras soon. This is a technology that other first responders have been testing and the benefits of extending eyes into the sky will be tremendous. Starting in June 2018, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is launching an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (drone) program. It will allow for a safer, quicker, and more efficient response to emergencies.
