Lighter, faster and sleeker. North will be launching the Focals 2.0 in 2020. The original Thalmic labs’ slogan is the future of wearable technology and human-computer interaction (HCI). They have rebranded themselves into North and they have had their ups and downs so far.
The future for North might be coming sooner rather than later. They have been working on the North smart glasses for several years now. It hasn’t been easy for North. Earlier this year, the Canadian government pulled $18 million investment from smart glasses company North following layoffs of roughly 150 people. They are still going full steam ahead with the North glasses with the Focals 2.0 which is set to come out in 2020.
Can’t wait to get our hands on the Focals 2.0 and compare it to the original North glasses.
