Can computers get smaller? Of course. You thought smart glasses and watches were small, how about a tattoo wearable computer?

Previously, we discussed what the University of Tokyo’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems was working on as well as what Microsoft and MIT were working on in terms of wearable tattoo computing.

Your next tattoo might save your life – Wearable tattoos are coming

It’s now Carnegie Mellon researchers turn. They have developed a cheap, flexible electronic system that goes on like a child’s decorative tattoo.

Perhaps the future of medical records is one with wearable tattoos. First responders will have quick access to medical records by interacting with the tattoo. BrighterSight would be very interested to build a prototype system to interface with the wearable computer.
