According to Wikipedia, “OnePlus Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., commonly referred to as OnePlus, is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, which is based in ShenzhenGuangdong. It was founded by Pete Lau (CEO) and Carl Pei in December 2013. The company officially serves 34 countries and regions around the world as of July 2018.[2] They have released numerous phones, amongst other products. Looks like they are going to try to get into the wearables game in 2020. Wearables and smart glasses in 2020 are going to be a game-changer. Perhaps we have exhausted cellphone enhancements and companies are looking for the next big disruptive technology to hit the consumer market. OnePlus might get started by acquiring an existing company just like google just did with the acquisition of Fitbit. OnePlus’s slogan/motto is Never Settle and it thinks that is what they are trying to do by trying to get into the wearable game. It is going to be a challenge and there are already some heavy hitters but they have a large piece of the China market already with the phones.   Looking forward to some interesting wearables in 2020!
