Alexa and Google Assistant have hit the mainstream. This past Xmas, sales of both unit soared during the holiday season. They are not the only ones in the game.
Some people might have issues using smart assistant speakers that can hear what you are saying all the time. Transmitting voice comms to a google serving might not have some worried about security issues. There are other options. One of which is the open source option called Mycroft.
