Google is no longer going to be supporting the glass explorer apps (Glass Explorer Edition) in 2020. Looks like they will be refocusing on the enterprise users rather than general consumers. You might want to disconnect your account before the deadline when users will no longer be able to log in again.
Google will continue to make a few updates available but users will need to download and install manually. They will continue to do this until 2022.
This is good news for google enterprise edition users as the company will be focusing more on enterprise-level application. For example, first responders using google glass enterprise-level application to potentially enhance situational awareness via human-computer interfaces such as Google Glass.
