The great men and women of who serve and protect have one of the hardest jobs. They put their lives at risk every time they put on a uniform. One thing first responders can do, like the often used Miltary quote, is  “Fight like you train, train like you fight”. Preparation in the form of what-if scenarios is one way to be ready for anything.

This is exactly what happened recently in a large-scale exercise that was conducted at Grand Central Terminal in New York. The exercise assessed capabilities of first responders and how they could be improved for scenarios in urban environments. Various technologies, provided by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T), were tested.
