Amazon wants in on the wearables market. They have started working on smart glasses that will work with their Alexa voice recognition AI system. Amazon is a powerhouse online reseller. I wonder what angle the glasses will have? Perhaps integrate with their products on their site? Perhaps an augmented grocery shopping experience with their recent acquisition of Whole Foods? Maybe it might integrate with what Thalmic labs has been working on for them.
All those options would be interesting but it looks like the glasses will look like a regular pair of glasses with bone conduction voice recognition so users can talk to Alexa and command Alexa to run integrated applications. Still sounds like it might be an interesting concept.
