With so many wearable devices in the market and the opportunities to adopt wearable technology to enhance our experiences, the possibilities are endless. There is, however, one major issue with using technology such as smartphones and wearable devices, that is the reliability of the device when you need it the most. For example, the concept of cryptocurrency with a digital wallet transcending the financial industry one day is possible if the device the digital currency is stored on is reliable. What if when you are ready to pay with your Bitcoin wallet but you run out of batteries on the smartphone? That will turn people away from using such devices. This issue with battery reliability is currently being worked on by an Israeli company named StoreDot. They are claiming to have created a battery that can charge your phone in less than 5 mins.
