Remember the movie lawnmower man? Ever since that movie, companies have been working on creating and bringing that VR experience into existence. We did a blog recently about the main competitors in the VR headset world.

HTC Vive vs. Oculus Rift vs. Windows Mixed Reality

Besides the visual components of the lawnmower man, there are the full body tracking aspects.

A more recent movie, Ready Player One, takes the concept to a whole new level.

Well, a recent Kickstarter might have just created the perfect real-world VR tracking solution in what they are calling the Holosuit.

The suit is a full body motion tracker with haptic feedback. There are multiple versions of the system that includes sensors on a jacket, gloves and pants. There is potential for this in the gaming, full body tracking of professional athletes, and training industry for sure. Of particular interest to Brighter Sight is the idea of human control of robots and the potential of instructing first responder services personnel remotely. According to the company, Holosuit is being embraced by the Indian Government for virtual training of paramedic personnel for disaster response training scenarios.

Read more about the Kickstarter and company behind it, click below. You might be able to pick one up before the end of the year. Brighter Sight might get one to take a closer look. If you do get one, let us know what you think.

Maybe if the tracking suit is combined with the following suit, it would become the ultimate gaming/training experience.
